Enter your section scores and see the level they give, using the official cut-offs. Works for TOPIK I and TOPIK II, on paper (PBT) and on computer (IBT).
TOPIK score bands
The level is set by the total score. The paper and the computer test use different scales, so their cut-offs differ.

How TOPIK levels work
- Your level depends only on the total. There is no minimum score for each section: a weak listening score can be made up by reading and writing.
- TOPIK I (levels 1–2) has listening and reading. TOPIK II (levels 3–6) adds writing. On paper each section is out of 100; the computer test is scored out of 400 (TOPIK I) and 600 (TOPIK II).
- A total below the lowest cut-off gives no level, even if the exam itself went well in parts.
- Results are valid for two years from the day they are announced.
Questions
Is there a minimum score for each section?
No. Since 2014 the level is decided by the total score only. Each section still counts, so a very low section pulls the total down.
What score do I need for TOPIK level 4?
On paper, 150 out of 300. On the computer test (IBT), 291 out of 600.
Are the paper and computer tests scored the same way?
No. The computer test has fewer questions and its own score scale, so its cut-offs are different numbers. The levels mean the same.
How long is a TOPIK result valid?
Two years from the day the result is announced.
