Don’t mix up
-기로 되어 있다vs-기로 하다-기로 하다 = I/we decided; -기로 되어 있다 = it's been arranged (maybe by others): 가기로 했어요 vs 가기로 되어 있어요.How to build it
- Focuses on an existing arrangement, not on who decided.
- Compare -기로 하다 'decide to (myself)'.
Classic mistake
Wrong:
The fixed form is 되어 있다 (state), not 되어 하다.
