-(으)ㄴ/는 만큼
-(으)ㄴ/는 만큼 links two things in equal measure ("as much as") or gives a known fact as grounds for what should follow ("since / given that").

Examples
이 가방은 비싼 만큼 품질도 좋아요.This bag is expensive, but the quality is as good as the price.
노력한 만큼 좋은 결과가 있을 거예요.You'll get results that match the effort you put in.

Don’t mix up
-(으)ㄴ/는 만큼vs-기 때문에-기 때문에 simply states a cause and does not take commands or suggestions; -(으)ㄴ/는 만큼 presents a fact as grounds for what is fitting: 중요한 시험인 만큼 열심히 준비하세요.-(으)ㄴ/는 만큼vs-(으)ㄹ 만큼-(으)ㄹ 만큼 describes an extent ("so much that…"), not a matching amount or a reason: 눈물이 날 만큼 감동적이었어요.
-(으)ㄴ/는 만큼vs-(으)ㄹ수록-(으)ㄹ수록 means a gradual increase ("the more…, the more…"), while 만큼 matches one amount to another: 연습할수록 실력이 늘어요 vs 연습한 만큼 실력이 늘어요.How to build it
V+(으)ㄴ 만큼 (past)
V+는 만큼 (present)
A+(으)ㄴ 만큼
N+인 만큼
노력하다 → 노력한 만큼, 먹다 → 먹는 만큼, 비싸다 → 비싼 만큼, 날이다 → 날인 만큼
- Verbs take 는 (present) or (으)ㄴ (past); adjectives take only (으)ㄴ, and nouns need 인: 중요한 날인 만큼, not 중요한 날 만큼.
- In the "since" meaning, the second clause is usually a suggestion, request, obligation or judgment (-읍시다, -으세요, -아야 해요), which -아서 cannot take.
- After a modifier, 만큼 is a separate noun and is written with a space (노력한 만큼); directly after a noun it is a particle and is attached (나만큼).
