-(으)ㄹ 테니까vs-(으)니까-(으)니까 gives a known fact as the reason; -(으)ㄹ 테니까 gives an intention or a guess: 추우니까 코트를 입으세요 (it is cold) vs 추울 테니까 코트를 입으세요 (it will probably be cold).-(으)ㄹ 테니까vs-(으)ㄹ 텐데-(으)ㄹ 텐데 sets a guessed situation as background (often for thanks, worry or contrast), while -(으)ㄹ 테니까 makes the guess a reason for a request: 바쁠 텐데 와 줘서 고마워요.-(으)ㄹ 테니까vs-(으)ㄹ게요-(으)ㄹ게요 ends the sentence with a promise; -(으)ㄹ 테니까 links that promise to what the listener should do: 제가 할게요 vs 제가 할 테니까 쉬세요.How to build it
V/A+(으)ㄹ 테니까 (past guess: V/A + 았/었을 테니까)
가다 → 갈 테니까, 먹다 → 먹을 테니까, 끝나다 → 끝났을 테니까
- With a first-person subject (I/we) it shows the speaker's intention; with other subjects or adjectives it shows the speaker's guess.
- The second clause is usually a command, request or suggestion (-(으)세요, -(으)ㅂ시다, -자, -아/어 주세요), not a statement of what already happened.
- To guess about something already finished, use -았/었을 테니까 (e.g. 도착했을 테니까).
- It is not combined with -겠-: say 할 테니까, not 하겠을 테니까.
